Warranty it. Companies are going to keep making crap if they don't have to pay for their mistakes. There is no excuse for this type of failure on a safety related item.
Good suggestion. Trouble is, I bought it used and even that was over 8 years ago. It’s had a knock or two over the years for sure.
It’s had a new spider since then. I warrantied that and got a cost price replacement. I just picked up a used crank arm for £49 from ebay. I’ll be taking a very close look when it arrives.
Biggest pain is having to swap the NDS pressfit bearing tomorrow to fit a shimano crank temporarily and then swap it back again when this replacement arrives.
