Today was rainy, as is forecast for the next three days, so it was a day of tying up loose ends. The Rotrax got a rather uncommon Universal 39 caliper which feels like a nice stout brake.

Aside from decals and a headbadge, this bike is DONE. Kind of an interesting feeling to be technically at a place where I feel the bike is period appropriate, while also not exact since I didn't use ancient rims and spokes; I had to compromise there. I do still have that set of tubular sprints on BSA hubs, which I'll eventually relace with correct spokes then glue on a set of tyres and go ride at Trexlertown.
The R.O. Harrison got a Stronglight bottom bracket spindle for the Stronglight Competition 55 chainset and a new chain. I still have the intention of building up a set of wheels for it with red flanged Airlite hubs, as it is now rolling on a set of Normandy hubs laced to Sun ME13II rims. Shiny and reliable, but not what I want in the end. I may pull the flanges off the front Airlite I have set aside for the Gillott and have them anodized which was my original plan. I had purchased a red flanged Airlite from a UK ebay seller, but the hub was not packed well and the flanges were bent in shipping. I'm not taking chances on bending it back, and don't want to lace up the bent flange, so the hub is going back in the new year.

I feel this is really sad since there can't be that many of these left.
I still need to get the Rudge Sports back on the road, just need to freshen up the original wheels.
Lots of projects all on back burners now simply because of money. I'll get there, no rush.
