I officially retired April 1st, at age 59, although my last day of working was January 19th. What has struck me the most is all the things I needed to do around the house that I neglected when I was working because all I wanted to do after work was make dinner and veg. I can tell winter is going to suck somewhat, but today I was thinking it that in only two months, the weather would really start to change for the better. In the mean time, one thing I have been doing to nailing down my June bike tour plans out west. Just decided on a schedule and will book flights tomorrow. Last week I booked a campsite for a long Easter weekend tour from/to home before the place filled up.
Any particular reason you want to go over Easter weekend, since you're not working any longer? Or just force of habit?
