Nathank is right. In fact, the ones I get along with the best are bicyclists.
I know alot of physicians who are cyclists. Afterall it has great health benefits without grinding away at your joints (unless you hug a tree or smear the pavement). It's also a great stress relief. My best buddy is a thoracic surgeon who was a CAT2 racer in college and he is not the least bit pretentious or smug like some of his golf playing collegues. (I'm sorry, I hate golf!) I agree with Nathank, if you combine biking with "choice of profession" , you weed out the geeks and generally find some good, thoughtful people.
