I'm a little lost in the multiple threads that are all circling the same basic issue - the setup and shifting of your Campag 12sp. There's still the issue of needing a longer chain to get over your big sprocket, right? In the other thread, IIRC you were having issues with an 11-32 cassette and 448mm chain stays. here, it's an 11-34 and 420mm stays, so we're talking about a whole other bike and setup? In any case, it seems like a longer Wipperman chain is the solution for your first problem. Here, where the shorter chain is apparently not a problem, what is the problem? The slope on a short stretch of chain may not look exactly as the manual illustrates, but how does it shift? I define "shifts fine" as "shifts crisply and predictably up and down the cassette, and runs smoothly and quietly when in the selected gear". What other criterion is there? What "compromise" are you accepting?
