I totally get this but I am kind of trepidatious to stray from the official spec, especially with 12 speed. A story for another post

I did write Campy directly to see what they say re. the chain length. I received an email back but they only quoted the manual ‘> 415mm use 112 links’. I wrote them again with more detail and this photo:

Big chainring and 28t sprocket - RD is stretched to the ‘max’.


Will send an update when I hear back from Campy NA, but I may try a KMC X12 chain (5.2mm wide) at 118 links, to see if this is the ‘correct’ length. It’s a $40 investment, which is fine as a tester and very close to Campy’s 5.15mm.

On a warranty note I think Campy is 3 years
