I might be interested, depending on several factors, but I'm a distant outlier from the current bike market since I only ride single speed.

I like something in the range of 65 to 69 gear inches. 65 gi has the advantage of lower stress on my legs when climbing, but 69 gi has the advantage of feeling more useful and stable when pedaling out of the saddle on flat ground (and doesn't end up feeling too low on flat ground very often).

So if I had a two-speed option that: 1) gave me a lower gear that is comfortable but not too low for climbing and a higher gear for flat ground, 2) doesn't require a derailleur to hang down and continually collect additional trail dust and 3) is robust enough to regularly withstand the type of pedal force typical on a single speed bike, then it might be useful. But again, I'm an outlier in a market that seems to either want a broad range of derailleur gear options or is served by the appropriate IGH.
