I represent the era of the Magnificent 7 tubing test, which you brought up (see edit below). We are decaying at the same rate. Sorry that pleases you. But hopefully people will ride the Classic bikes with nice tires and wheels with minimal regard to 'assigned qualities' of framesets. But I doubt it, beyond a quirky few, as I have tried to give older classics to younger male relatives and a few others, for free, and they politely decline.

Why did you start this thread again? My 'modern build' mixed tube Columbus bike wants to know? Maybe to learn how it should ride on the road. Educate us.
