I can only go by my own experience- when I routed the cable under the tape on my TT bike with bull horn bars I could feel the shifts were slower. Whereas on my Miyata 610, I routed the barcons outside the bar tape and the shifts were very crisp
Perhaps experience is the only way to know for certain. Thanks for the heads up though. BTW, very cool colors on the bike pictured.
