happened to one of my bikes - ran over a tree branch lurking below fallen leaves

of course this happened to a bike I had recently built with top XTR drivetrain - destroyed chain, rear derailleur, ti cassette, rear wheel (spokes), hanger etc

the bike sat for years untouched and still has not been returned to that same level
