The premise of this thread is deeply flawed. You can't measure pivot offset and ignore lateral displacement of something moving in an arc, and you can't measure to the extremes (pulling tot the handlebar) and come up with conclusions about how the normal lever range will feel.
All these road brakes are completely compatible and people have been mixing them for a very long time.
The thread is 10 years old, I am sure there are a lot of old threads that may or may not have issues that are that old. Hurricane Katrina happened and Youtube was launched 10 years ago. Should we rehash the Lincoln/Douglass debates, loads of flaws there?
