Ice is 4.5". Its been drilled in several spots. Those numbers ^^^ are very conservative.

Trails and rinks were shovelled all over that pond. Studs can ride the ice trails and the snow with no problem

The only time I felt out of control this winter was a brief warm-up when things got slushy. No traction in those conditions.
