Tufo's are repairable. I am in the process of repairing my tufo that I flatted on. Its not going to be as easy as a regular tubular but its possible.

Take a sharp razor and cut down the center. Pull out the tube and patch. Then take a really sharp needle and sew back up, making new holes in the casing.
