It's 17ºF and slightly windy, and I do not have the clothes to handle those conditions. @smaug1 recommended that I buy some massive Wisconsinite mittens. They arrived in the mail today. Maybe they will help.

This is colder than normal for this area. We had a small snowfall recently, and it is now a layer of ice on the ground, and that's another reason not to ride in this brutal city.
