A recent acquisition included a carbon fork, my first. The fork is a replacement, Kestrel ems Pro. There is a little dulling on the "crown" portion and a couple of places where the top coat is "chipped" away, more likely rubbed.
The goal is to preserve the fork and protect it from UV.
Refinishing is a fair amount of work, to the point of questioning the wisdom to do it might require more labor and material than buying a new one.
i don't know if the topcoat is clear coat or a gel. How do I determine which?
What is the recommendation, lightly sand to rough up the surface and do the whole fork or just touch up?

Now that the pictures are posted, I believe the topcoat is breaking down. I see more scrapes than without the picture.
