I offered a real life, bike to bike experience between the two group sets. Bikes that I alternate use weekly/daily.

When I head to the mountains, I leave the 3x in the garage. Why? The 2x has a bigger range and more useable gears. That is the opinion i was offering the OP.

Not everything is a bash fest.
