I saw a coil of malleable wire with green casing in goodwill for a buck, I think is gardening wire. Useful on occasion. I should put a piece in my trunk tool bag for emergency rack repair for a busted weld.
That's the stuff, I keep it by the cable ties and string. Not particularly strong, but it doesn't take much space if you need to apply multiple wraps, every turn adds tension and a twist holds it in place quite well. I suppose if you had a broken rack you could lash it up with wire and an Allen key.
