I don’t have a problem at all with FB. All I’ve ever used it for is my personal topics of interest, for example my dog breeder’s group, a bourbon lovers group, several bird photography groups, etc. I wouldn’t know how to find a political group even if I wanted to, so I never could get it why so many people have to dump FB because of undesirable content.
Mostly it is the result of people not wanting to "offend" their friends by ignoring their "friend requests." The result is that you then have a bunch of "friends" that like to populate the place with their gibberish which often includes not only their kids/grandkids stuff that they thing is cute and similar stuff, but also their political rah, rah, rah and endless links to all the conspiracy theory stories. I recently had a guy message me about some Triumph parts I'm trying to sell, and when I looked at his profile, everything he posted (and there was a lot) was endless tripe about how great and God sent Trump is.
