photos -

one simple manner to do them is as you have done already

if you attempt to post them they will go into a forum category termed "gallery" and can be pulled out and placed into the discussion thread

---

serial -

defacement does not always indicate theft

possible a cycle may come into possession of someone who suspects

it to be stolen and so defaces marking in an attempt to preclude losing it to a stolen claim

---

suggestion -

one simple check you could make would be to see if non-drive side crank arm matches that of drive side

to convert the cycle from a single plateau drive train to its present double it would not have been necessary to change the non-drive side arm

if it does not match it is likely to be original and could tell us who was the maker of the original chainset

---

known non-original fittings presently worn by the machine -

drive side crank arm with chainwheels

drive side pedal

front gear mech

front gear mech shift lever assembly

front gear mech cable guide at bottom bracket

saddle
