The Competition came with a Peugeot 103 half chromed fork as OEM spec. The all chrome Reynolds 531 was an optional extra so the OP's bike has that genuine Peugeot option. It's actually the same type of fork as on my Super Competition of the same period. Looks great with the frame colour.
