Yah, thanks for your comment! Made me look closer at what I'd posted, which I admit I'd resized from the pic I 'borrowed' from the website I linked to for credit.

Here're details from the original image, at its original scale:



The link you've provided explains the markings more easily seen at the resolution of the original file. (I was more interested in the difference in tooth profile unaware of the other information the image was capable of conveying before resizing for use here. My apologies for the oversight.)

Looking at that linked page I'm curious whether the rounded corners on the cog teeth depicted suggests a change in design since the page was published?



Those teeth don't look like those on the cogs in my other image's detail, or the teeth on my DR.

My particular problem with drive smoothness I think may be more from slight misalignment of the front DR affecting chain line when on either of the two big cogs in back and the small, inside one in front. Be awesome to have an observer watch how chain follows the cogs in back as I'm pedaling. Only viable substitute I can think of is setting up a GoPro to watch what happens....
