I think my Ti frame set with Ti fork is pretty light. 8.8kg with pedals and 9.4 with tool bag and bottle ready to ride. That is not bad for a bike with metal frame and fork. My Ti bike is the same weight as my brothers Lauf and cost a grand less.
That's why I went with a titanium gravel bike - actually come to think of it, all my outdoor bikes are made of some kind of metal. My carbon road bike is my dedicated trainer bike lol. My Merlin Sandstone weighs around 18 lbs with a set of lightweight gravel tires on it....add another 16 to 24 ounces to it with heavier tires/different wheels.
