Actually there are plenty of of cyclists both sporting and leisure. What is concentrating and dying off is the participants of these forums whose average age must be in their late sixties and opinions clearly reflect this.
There is an active and vibrant gravel cycling community which does not engage in these ridiculous debates, they just ride and have a good time.
