this video appeared on my feed today. Basically the story is that a mexican based bike theft ring is using face book to fence stolen bikes

many of them stolen in the bay area. A shop owner I know was hit twice and the theives were in the shop for 5 min and got 30 high end bikes

they knew exactly what they were looking for.

the commentator is the founder of bike index, a national database of bike serial numbers

the video basically says that Face Book could not care less about the fact that it is a platform for re-sale of stolen products.
