put it in, mount up the crankset, see if it's out of alignment, if it looks ok, Ride it.

something i do is check the clearance by temporarily slipping both arms on, in sync to each other, then rotate them to both point rearward... the tips of the crank arms at the chain stays should be fairly even in distance to the stays.
this will also show if the BB spindle is offset in the BB assembly... some are made to be offset, and i've found quite a few old non-sealed BBs that had the spindle installed reverse of their correct assembly.
