The top pic, the two surfaces look parallel, from what I can see.

The second pic, one surface looks way off parallel with the opposite one. To paraphrase Hank Hill, "Sumpin' about this just isn't right." You would think the two calipers would be machined *similar*, whichever way that is supposed to be.

And are those concave/convex washers the exact same size as those on V-brakes? I haven't seen same on any disc caliper, but then I haven't seen many.
