Its a reasonable request for your build. Little things like this are not usually noted by a casual observer, but for the owner probably stick out every time he looks at the bike. Bike shops are rare in my AO. We do have a local machinist though, and luckily he drinks beer and enjoys company in his little shop. I would simply have one made to the proper specs out of stainless steel...
