Never had a real "Gravel Bike". Back in the day... I did have an ole CroMo FUJI road bike that evolved heavier rims, thicker tires, lower gearing, stronger brakes, and wider bars. I even put on a thicker paint job and extra water bottles, along with a bigger tool kit. I then beat the hell out of it with love and consideration because I could ride it on rural gravel roads and paths.

They used to call those gravel bikes. Now days I have been reminded many times that a gravel bike is its own and not a any thing else. If I were to go out and purchase a ready made bike it would most likely be a Gravel Bike for sure...
