My initial take on the Tyre Glider is that the part that hooks under the bead is too thick which makes it difficult, if not impossible, to to get under the bead. What am I missing?
Not much. It’s not that great for removing tyres imho. I prefer Park Tool levers.
But for getting challenging tyres on (and I have pretty strong hands, and can do every tubed tyre I’ve ever tried by hand) it’s outstanding. I do have one Edco wheelset where the rim edge is just a bit too thick for it where I still have to use the “inching along” technique with the levers on 5000TRs.
