I do like this idea. Here in Los Angeles, they host monthly street closures called Cyclavia, and they always have a bike shop out there helping people with free maintenance. It's nice because the mechanics are usually free and not bogged down with work for a change like they are at the shop, so they'd probably love to look at these parts and discuss it with me.
Follow up from a tech at DT Swiss:
All of our standard 2.0mm nipples still use 2.23mm wrench flats so the black Park Tool wrench would still be the one to use unless you are dealing with a couple of our 2.34mm nipples, but those are not as commonly used.
So the black wrench is correct. That's straight from DT, Park and shop mechanics like me.
