The usual story for me- a simple task like installing sealed bearing pedals becomes a journey into hauling out this and that to get a job done that is riddled with warts- in this case chasing wonky threads on an aluminum pedal arm. Fortunately I only had to chase one side. The off-drive side was normal, and went without a hitch.
Sometimes I'd like to get through a supposedly simple job without having to haul out 275 + lbs. of tools and hardware and other junk. Poor old living room. Mrs. S. doesn't say anything- every thing gets packed up and squirrelled away into out of the way places after job completion...

DS,
I use my kitchen much in the same way that you are using your L.R. I think that we are very lucky that we are loved/put up with by our significant others.
No time for my project as work call, back on it tomorrow.

Best, Ben
