Manufacturers often overthink things. There is no way a velcro and strap setup is more difficult to change bikes with than some clip-on thing, sorry.

Simplicity...

And when they overthink things, sometimes they underthink them.

This Cateye speedometer is supposed to unclip from its mount so that you can move it from bike to bike. Unfortunately, I will have to snip the mount off and buy another, again.
