Is anyone looking for one of these? Tandems found for sale. I have posted dozens of high end, custom, and vintage tandems here, almost all less than $500, most under $300. None of these bikes sold quickly, most lingered for months, many popped back up months later at additionally reduced prices. Sorry to not have a more encouraging answer, I think you will be doing well if you can find it a new home where it might be ridden.
$500 for a good quality tandem is disappointing to the seller who paid thousands, and there are a lot of good quality tandems like that from the 80's dying out there with 27" wheels and Suntour drivetrain. So that might be skewing your perception. A Huffy tandem for a hundred bucks is just a cheap hoot and might actually be easier to sell.
