Frustrating month of March - we had freakishly high winds, coupled with a crazy amount of pollen exacerbated by smoke from wildfires to the north of us, all of which were sufficient to keep me off the bike far more than normal. As in, I literally rode a bike seven days in March, which is pathetic. That said, I did get to get some mileage in on the '89 Trek 850 with the bars finally both wide and high enough for comfort -
Kinda wish I hadn't shellacked the bar tape - the original colors were a near match of the frame and decals!

Nice job on the bar tape! I've done the harlequin pattern twice now. I'm improving a bit, but it definitely looks better from a distance. I haven't been motivated to shellac it, and that might be appropriate.
At first, I tried orange and black tape, and that was good for a while. Then the orange faded a lot, and eventually the tape wore enough to justify replacing it. On the second try, I used brown and black. I figure both the brown and the black go with the orange tape regardless of how faded they get.
