I know this thread is older but I have the same model of tire on my commuter bike and the rear tire is starting to look like this. It's not as bad but I do see the bulging and deforming and I know it's because the threads are breaking.

I'm wondering should I replace the rear tire with a new one that's a better model because I already replaced the front tire as it spontaneously exploded as I was riding.
