You're a dumbass. You shouldn't get your bike back, because the only way you'll learn a lesson is for it to suck major. If all you had to do was pay for the grips, you had zero penalty. The cops should give your bike to the shop. They should let you buy it back for 10-20x the value of those grips. Don't like the penalty? Don't do the crime.
