Only if I have to. I negotiate curbs by getting off the bike, picking the bike up, and placing it over the curb. No riding off curbs for me.

Thanks for your replies. I have absolutely no idea how light the Alex wheels are. The back wheel has 32 spokes. It's just not a great wheel.

And weight isn't really an issue. I just want a wheel that doesn't go out of true or pop a spoke every three hundred miles. I don't really care how light my new wheels will be. Okay, I care a little bit. But if "light, cheap, and strong: pick two" are my options, I pick cheap and strong.
