Signs.
During the ride to work, I sometimes notice some really strange signs in the Commonwealth of Mass.
"Watertown Free Public Library." I'm so glad that this public libray is free. Are there other public librarys that charge admission?
A restaurant called "The Broken Yolk" - huge sign over the entrance. I understand that to mean it's a breakfast joint. On the sidewalk in front of the entrance is a sandwhich-board sign that reads "NOW SERVING BREAKFAST!!" complete with balloons.
The Massachusetts Turnpike folks decided to name their toll/transponder program "Fast Lane" - - it works just like New York's "E-Z Pass." You put a transponder on your windsheild, and you are allowed to use the lanes that say "Fast Lane" instead of fishing through your pockets for change in the other lanes.
But it's not really the "Fast Lane", is it? The speed limit is 10mph I believe. It can be faster than the other lanes. Many times there is a cop taking radar and bagging people for speeding in the Fast Lane. I love this state.
