Bikes: Bakers dozen is the limit!

For what it's worth, out of caution I'm replacing the Alpha Q carbon fork on a 2006 titanium Erickson which is an S&S Coupled travel bike. Chose to go with a NOS carbon fork with an aluminum steerer, while it's possibly quite old, it hasn't been used. Fork breaking suddenly isn't a scenario I'm keen on...
