Sincere thanks for the correction on that. That triple FD is compatible with both flat bar gripshift and trigger shifters, so my guess is the pull ratio is mountain. The only problem for me is the spring on the FD is too stiff for me (probably to cope with mud and such on a MTB), too stiff for me to use gripshift and even tough with a trigger shifter on upshift. My plan is to replace it with a Shimano 105 11-speed FD which has special ratio with an extra long arm, plus a soft spring, use a triple front MTB shifter and adjust for the big ring on "3", and set the low stop for the small ring and downshift directly to "1" for that; Either the ratios will match, or the cable just goes slack and the FD is on the low stop.
