Bikes: Some silver ones, a red one, a black and orange one, and a few titanium ones

I’ve been off a bike for only 3 extended periods since 1977. By extended I mean longer than a month. One was 6 weeks when I got hit by a car in 81. The second was in the late 90s when the plate, screw, and pin that had been installed in 1977 (roller skating accident) had to be removed because of a stress fracture. That’s what got me into bicycling in the first place.

And the latest one was just this November when I tore a meniscus in my knee. Unfortunately, that one kept me off the bike for most of November, December, and January. The real bummer is that the last one made me miss riding in January which was the first time I haven’t ridden at least once a month in 564 months or 47 years.
