Once you get a job here though, it'll be all good in the hood what with the $8.82 minimum wage; if you haven't turned corporate yet...
are you joking? avoid the tenderloin? come on. the mission has far more violence, muggings, and other crime. i've been witness to at least seven shootings in 2006 alone when in the mission. on the other hand, i have been living in the tenderloin for a number of years and have not once heard peep of a mugging or murder, or even shots fired. sure, the tenderloin has some junkies, but they are junkies that do their own thing. gangs attack people, junkies just want drugs.. big difference.
