My renovation of a Peugeot PH12 is stalled. Looking for a mounting bolt that works with a Simplex SX610 RD that is does not have the flats rounded off on the frame side. The Simplex part # is 3874. If someone knows of an alternative that works, let me know.
Those bolts are hard to find in good condition and the bolt for the alloy body is different from the one for the plastic body.
It isn't pretty, but it is possible to modify a bolt with rounded/stripped flats and the washer to restore the spring tension on the derailleur body. Using a thin cutting wheel in a Dremel tool, I cut a slot in the washer and another in the bolt so that a thin key could be inserted. The key consisted of a short section of stainless steel cut from a windshield wiper blade refill.
