I should have converted 100-ft per hour to MPH, which is 0.019-mph

I remember when I first rode thru mountains on a bike and it was on a fully loaded bike, as I was on a bike trip/tour around the East Coast. I could only muster about 3-mph, but I got to a section where it was covered in Deer flies with very sharp teeth -- very painful bites.

Every time one bit me, it gave me the energy to ramp up my speed to about 10-mph, but I'd quickly lose speed and another one would bite...This went on for a couple days...So miserable.
