The last time I had to use a Zefal for dog discouragement, just having it my hand was enough to make Fido stop in his tracks and slink back home, giving my the stink-eye the whole way. This clearly had not been his first experience with the business end of a full-length bike pump.
That is true . Unfortunately , the last time I was chased by an aggressive dog , I was on my Colnago and I just kept pedaling while the beast tried to get at my ankles. I just knew if I grabbed my beautiful , matched paint Silca , it would be toast. I’m thinking a small canister of bear spray in my jersey. My old route took me by a row of RV’s that were inhabited by unhoused individuals . I changed my route . Once it happened the first time , I became entertainment for folks with pit bull dogs. No mo!!!
