Panasonic PT-3500 photoshot

Continuing to catch up on the photoshoots for all the bikes I picked up this winter. Totally spaced out on Benadryl right now so hopefully these pictures really are ok. I just want to close my eyes right now, ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Anyway this is one of the bikes I want to keep from that group buy of 7 Panasonic bikes. Hoping to recover from the surgeries in time to be ready to take this one to Cino this year. This one is more of just a functional build more than anything. I had it running 27" wheels but realized the brakes were adjustable enough to run 700c so went that way. I used some new RItchey Zeta classic wheels since they were the widest rim wheelset I had available in the house. Changed the rear cassette gearing also to give my old man legs easier climbing. MKS Sylvan pedals with the same half clips I'm running on a couple of bikes. The straddle cables for the brakes are long by normal standards but pretty much as the bike was originally set up. These brakes are very strong as set up with the new pads. Still I"m no expert on cantilevers so fire away if I should redo that setup. I just can't see needing more stopping power and feel then they are now providing. The rack was an old Blackburn I had hanging around. Came off something I bought years past. I did test ride this during the winter and really liked how things were working. Well, except maybe the DT shifters. I seem to remember not being all that happy with the initial feel of them.

25 lbs 2 ozs with the rack

Subdued overall appearance

I love these Avocet saddles

The short top tube finally gave me something to use this long Dura Ace stem on.

No half step gearing for me.

The little chainring should meet all my needs

Bring on the mountains

Great stopping power

Paints pretty good, just not spectacular

decals are decent also
