Broken Ultegra STI, weighing options

I have a bike that lives on my trainer with a modular electric shifting system. It originally had 9 speed Ultegra.

I went to put it back together to potentially ride in the meantime but definitely try to trade or sell.

Turns out the right shifter is shot. No amount of flushing gets it to work. I think it’s got a bend somewhere that is causing the levers to catch or the springs are just shot. I can’t release tension unless I hold the brake lever to prevent its moving.

I could get some Amazon/Ali shifters for $60-$75.

I could put the wireless gizmo back on but this mount doesn’t have compatible levers, so indoors I had just Velcro’d it on. No a great outdoor solution.

There is a lightly used Claris group available locally for less than the Ali shifters.

I could make it a single speed with an Ultegra chain tensioner. Or a 2 speed, the front derailleur works fine.

This isn’t a keeper, it’s a bike I wanted to pass along. It’s an early 00’s TCR, a nice enough bike that I’m not just going to throw it away.

What would you recommend if it were your pile of bolts?
