Bikes: Fuji Finest

Soon-to-Be Addition to the Garage

Hey everyone,

Some of you may know that ever since I rode my first 50 miler on my Trek mtb, I've been eyeing road bikes very fondly as the riding position on an mtb just isn't suitable for long distance riding. At one of two of my LBS's, I found a 2003 Fuji Finest that I loved. Originally, it was $600 but I'm getting it for $460 because it was a misshipment even though there are no imperfections on the bike itself.

Anyways, I have some extra cash, but I really thought I should use the money I'm going to make from a website I'm building for a client to buy the bike, so my dad and I agreed to do so. However, he did reserve the bike a few nights ago, so it is all mine.

I basically wrapped up the site this morning, so we called the LBS to see if we could go pick it up tomorrow since there isn't a good oppurtunity for us today. He informed us that we could, but that the bike wouldn't be in until around 1. However, we're still going tomorrow to pick up my very first road bike! I'm so excited it's crazy and I really hope to up my mileage, speed and fitness with this baby.

Anyways, I will have my second bike in 7 weeks and now I do plan on keeping the Trek for old times sake; and it's still a good ride if I want to do some short hops around town or something of the like. I'll be sure to take and post pics in this thread for you guys to see tomorrow.

Shane

P.S. The color is blue/silver and is the only color offered on the 2003. Very cool.

P.P.S. The Fuji is a 52 cm bike, a considerably large upgrade from the 39 cm Trek I'm on right now. However, I've grown 5.25 inches in 9 months, so that shouldn't be a problem and I was fitted for this bike. It is about the largest I can ride right now, but I should still be able to ride it for two years to come.
