I have three rigid mountain bikes, 6 mountain bikes with a front suspension and a full suspended bike. They all ride differently. The one that I ride the most are my Trek 6700SLR and the full suspended.
georges1 ... I have a set of Continental Ride Tour 26 x 1.75" on my 1991 Stumpjumper (which you have seen photos of) and they're awesome bike path tires.
At present, the vintage Stumpjumper has a set of 26x1.95" Specialized Crossroads tires, which are great on both paved bike paths and flowy XC trails. They don't have tremendous grip in corners on loose-over-hardpack trails, but overall are great riding tires.
What Continental 26 x 2.2" tires are you running? And what type of trails are they performing the best on?
