Indeed I have changed the lubricant, this time using a paraffin/moly disulfide mix. The way it sticks to my fingers is much different than the paraffin/teflon mix, which didn't stick nearly as well as the moly mix. Supposed to be nice in a few days which will allow me to give the thing a whirl.
